Mohun Bagan Athletic Club ((:mohon begən)) (Bengali : মোহন বাগান) is a professional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Established in 1889, it is the oldest football clubs in Asia. It currently competes in the I-League the top-tier of Indian football pyramid & AFC Cup. In 1911 Mohun Bagan became the first Indian club to win a major title, when they defeated the East Yorkshire Regiment, 2-1 to lift the IFA Shield. With 13 Federation Cup titles and 4 National League/I-League titles, Mohun Bagan is the most successful club in India in major national tournaments. The football team has also won Rovers Cup, Durand Cup, IFA Shield and the Calcutta Football League.
